The Jura ENA 7 is a compact super-automatic espresso machine designed for the European market. It bridges the gap between the entry-level ENA 4 and the full-featured E8 by adding an Aroma+ milk frothing system in a still-compact chassis.

ENA 7 vs ENA 4
The ENA 4 (North American/global model) and ENA 7 (European model) share the same compact chassis and G3 grinder. The ENA 7’s main additions are:
ENA 7 advantages over ENA 4:
- Built-in Aroma+ milk frothing (ENA 4 requires a separate add-on)
- Slightly wider specialty drink list including flat white and cappuccino as one-touch options
- Color display (ENA 4 has a text display in some regional variants)
ENA 4 advantages:
- Available new in North America
- Lower base price
- Easier to find accessories and support in North American markets
Who Should Consider the ENA 7
If you are in Europe and want automatic milk drinks in a compact machine, the ENA 7 is worth considering at its current EU price (approximately EUR 700-900). It fits the gap between “compact espresso-only machine” and “full-size machine with milk system.”
For US buyers: the ENA 4 + HP1 milk add-on achieves similar functionality at a comparable combined price.

Check E8 Price →The Aroma+ Milk System in Practice
The Aroma+ milk system is what separates the ENA 7 from the ENA 4 in daily use. With the ENA 4, getting automatic milk drinks requires purchasing the HP1 milk add-on separately (typically 150-200 EUR additional). The ENA 7 includes integrated milk frothing at a combined price that usually comes out ahead.
In practice this means one-touch cappuccinos and flat whites without manual milk handling, automatic milk rinse prompts after each milk drink, and adjustable foam density for different drink styles.
The Aroma+ system produces good foam for everyday cappuccinos and lattes. It is a step below the HP3 system found in the E8 and S8, which produces finer microfoam - the difference is most noticeable in flat whites where foam texture matters more. For standard cappuccinos, most users will not find the difference significant.
ENA 7 vs E8 for European Buyers
If the ENA 7 is in budget, the E8 is worth a direct comparison before deciding. The E8 (available across European markets) adds HP3 fine-foam technology, a larger specialty drink count, and a bigger water tank. The tradeoff is a wider machine and a higher price. In kitchens with limited counter depth or where the compact 11.2cm width is a requirement, the ENA 7 is the clear choice. Where counter space is not a constraint, the E8 delivers meaningfully better milk performance for a proportional price increase.
